Scanning
How does scanning work?
Point your phone at the label. The app analyses the image using AI and adds the bottle to your cabinet automatically.
What happens to my images when I scan?
Images are sent briefly to Anthropic (Claude API) for image analysis. They are deleted immediately after processing and not stored permanently. More in the Privacy Policy.
Does AI scanning cost anything?
No, AI scanning is free and included in the app.
What if the app does not recognise my bottle?
You can add it manually. The search first tries to match against the Swedish state monopoly catalogue, then against imported bottles.
My bottle is missing from the catalogue. What do I do?
Send a photo of the label to the support address. I will add it as soon as I can.
Community
What is the Community feature?
You can share recipes you have created yourself with other users. Shared recipes become publicly visible to everyone using the app.
What is shared alongside a recipe?
Only the recipe itself. We do not share your name, email address or any other personal information.
Are recipes reviewed before being published?
Yes, every recipe is reviewed before it becomes visible to other users.
Sync, iCloud and offline
Does my cabinet sync between devices?
Yes, through Apple CloudKit. If you have iCloud enabled, your bottles, favourites and notes sync automatically between your devices.
Do notes and favourites sync too?
Yes, everything goes through the same iCloud account.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. All data is cached locally on the device, so core features such as viewing your cabinet, reading recipes and making drinks work without an internet connection. New recipes and AI scanning require internet.

Which devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad running iOS 17.0 or later.
What languages is the app in?
Swedish, English, Norwegian and Danish.
Purchases and Pro
What is Drinkkompassen Pro?
A one-time upgrade that unlocks techniques, backstories, flavour profiles, signature recipes and tools to create your own.
How does the Pro purchase work?
One-time purchase of £3.99. No subscription. Once you have bought Pro you have access to all Pro features for good on all your devices.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled through the Apple App Store under their policy.

Delete your data
How do I delete my data?
Go to iPhone Settings → iCloud → Manage Storage → Drinkkompassen → Delete Data. This removes all data synced through iCloud.
What happens to my data if I uninstall the app?
Local data on the device is removed. CloudKit data stays and can sync back if you install the app again.
